Special Guest Saturday: Jeanie Kelley

See, I have written your name on my hand.
(Isaiah 49:16a NLT)

Join me today, as special guest, Jeanie Kelley answers the question: “What makes God smile, when He thinks of you?”

Here’s her answer:

Isn’t it exciting to know that Jesus knows us by name? It is so comforting to know this and I love him for it. What makes God smile with me would be how much of an encourager I am. I love the idea of encouraging other women on their walks of life. This road can be long and hard, but we have people who encourage and give hope to them. I can see God smiling at me for this.

Thrilling Guest Thursday: Jeanie Kelley

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.
(Romans 12:2 NLT)

Making changes in our lives or giving up old habits can be like wandering through a maze.

Today, my friend Jeanie Kelley shares about her honest struggle with giving up certain habits. She is studying with the Online Bible Study hosted by Melissa Taylor. They are discussing the book, What Happens When Women Say Yes to God: Experiencing Life in Extraordinary Ways by Lysa TerKeurst, of Proverbs 31 Ministries.

Here is the beginning of Jeanie’s post:

What I am willing to give up to say yes to God? I continue to ask myself that on a daily basis. There are a couple things I would love to give up. They will take up time and effort on my part to rid myself of them. Now, these are coming straight from the heart and they are things I would give up to say Yes. (To read what Jeanie wants to give up click here.)

I appreciate Jeanie’s vulnerability and honesty.

What are you willing to give up in order to say “yes” to God?

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
(Jesus, Hebrews 13:5b)

Jesus is the faithful one, the good shepherd, who looks for us when we wander away. And a bright light in the dark, who draws us back to Him, when we’ve lost our bearings.

Thank you for joining us today, as my friend, Jeanie Kelley shares the faithfulness of Jesus, in her recent post titled,
MY SHEPHERD:

When I was twelve years old I realized that I had a friend whose name was Jesus. He was a true friend since the “friends” I had at school ridiculed me and made fun of me and made my life miserable. I found Jesus right when I needed him. Right at my heart wanting to come in. (To read more click here.)

Greater love has no one than this,
that he lay down his life for his friends.
(John 15:13 NIV)

Welcome once again, our friend, Jeanie Kelley. Today, she ponders the topic of friendship:

What I would love to see is the church to welcome sinners into the church. Welcome them in a way to truly get to know them personally. While I was growing up, I did not have many friends or just one special friend. If I had walked into a church, I would have gotten scowling looks from people who thought I should not be there.
